Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, mayor of Freetown, Sierra Leone, is on a mission to plant a million trees over the next two years, increasing vegetation in her city by fifty percent while shoring up eroding riverbanks and increasing biodiversity. “This isn’t just about planting trees; it’s about growing trees, and it’s about ensuring that each one of us is part of the process,” she says. “A million trees is our city’s small contribution to increasing the much-needed global carbon sink.”

Purchasing a pre-built gaming PC can be a heck of a timesaver, giving you more time to think about which games to buy and how to lie to your significant other and family about how much you spend on video gaming. If you’re going to pour in all that cash into your passion for polygons, you’re going to want to spend wisely and appropriately. We’ve compiled a list to help you in your quest to gaming supremacy.
Monitors. Hard drive space. RAM. We have news for you: even though you opted to have an expert make your dream machine, it doesn’t mean you can press the snooze button on the details surrounding these components, as underspending can lead to underperforming, whereas over spending might lead to futureproofing but usually won’t lead to overperforming. We’re also going to look at power supplies so you don’t fry your circuits, online gaming, operating system stuff, the snob appeal and prestige associated with PC gamer culture, the new APU dilemma, buying because of looks, and finally, we’ll be calling out some rigid builds that you won’t be able to upgrade should you feel the need to (okay we’ll spoil it here as we can’t help ourselves: it’s the infamous Steam Machine).
