In 10 years, almost 1,000 people in Peru have died trying to protect their land from illegal logging. As loggers travel deeper into the Amazonian rainforest to extract valuable hardwood, local villagers are coming under threat.

Internet hackers have carried out their threat to publish private photographs from the social media app Snapchat. A list of 320 usernames of alleged victims of the hack has appeared online and a total of around 2,000 photographs appear to have been published.
