Cruz saw a screening of Ten Thousand Saints while we were at Sundance. It’s the latest from Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. It’s a coming-of-age story set in the 80s, starring Ethan Hawke, Asa Butterfield, and Cruz will tell you what he thought. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm
The movie has a can’t miss performance from Hailee Steinfeld, and is a beautiful juxtaposition of the transition from childhood to adulthood with the transformation that New York City underwent in the late 80s. Cruz will break it all down for you.
Will you see Ten Thousand Saints if and when it gets a wider release? If you’ve seen it yourself, what did you think? Did you agree or disagree with any of Cruz’s points? What other movies out of Sundance are you looking forward to hearing or seeng more of?
