وتعتمد هذه الخدعة على فتح المصباح ثم تركيب بطاريتين مربوطتين بمصباح صغير من نوع LED ، وعند تثبيت جميع هذه الأشياء ، فهي تسمح عند لمس الجزء المهم في المصباح الذي هو الزائد والسالب ، بإشعاله بطريقة مبهرة قد يصعب لأي شخص اكتشافها إذا ما أحسنت في توظيفها كما يجب .
