Guillermo del toro directs the most epic horror homage in the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXIV title sequence.
Norwood and Jack watch and attempt to identify all of the references and appearances – ranging from Frankenstein to Blade to the Birds to Cronos. This sequence is so chock full of layered iconic horror references that it takes multiple viewings to get half of them.
