Technology can sometimes get a negative rep. Sure, some of us could stand to put our phones down from time to time. But often times, technology is behind some pretty awesome stuff. Like recently in the film industry, we have been seeing some pretty amazing and realistic special effects don’t you think?
More and more, evolving technology has allowed filmmakers to turn actors into some pretty incredible characters. Nowadays, we get to see them turn back time and de-age these actors. As the technology advances we get to see it more and more. Some of these are downright impressive and others can look a bit cringy. Nevertheless, just being able to see this is incredible.
In Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, we get to see a young Captain Jack Sparrow. Young Jack looks eerily realistic to when Johnny Depp was younger.
Similarly, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark gets a youthful makeover in Captain America: Civil War. We get to see a young RDJ thanks to some amazing de-aging technology.
