Avengers: Infinity War was insane! In a franchise known for its overabundance of characters and events, this movie contained more comic book icons and iconic scenes of destruction than any previous entry in the MCU’s canon. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken a major turn and (barring any usage of the time stone), there’s no going back from here. Still, some fans are wondering where – in a film that managed to stuff in more references than a witty piece of Deadpool dialogue – some missing characters might be. We’re not saying we’re disappointed with visual feast of Infinity War but it would be nice to know what’s to come. And hey, it’s compliment to the writing that we care about these characters big and small in the first place.
Ant Man’s got his own standalone movie, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until the release of Ant Man and the Wasp to find out what Scott Lang’s been up to. Hawkeye isn’t lucky enough to have his own MCU entry but perhaps he’ll have more time to shine in Avengers 4. And how about those two B.A. ladies with hearts and armor of gold – will we see the Asgardians known as Valkyrie and Lady Sif in follow-up flicks. Don’t worry, we won’t forget about these other MCU personalities big and small – whether they be Nick Fury, Jane Foster, Agent Coulson, Rhomann Dey, Justin Hammer, the Leader, and some special cameos that just might come about thanks to the recent handshake between Disney and Marvel.
